Privacy Policy

Effective / last updated: September 20, 2026. This policy describes the BookMyPhotog beta as implemented today. It is an operational description of current practices, not a claim of compliance with any particular privacy statute.

1. Who we are

BookMyPhotog, operated by Luke Fuhrman (“we,” “us”), provides a marketplace website that helps customers find photographers and send booking requests, and helps photographers publish profiles. This Privacy Policy explains what information the application collects and how it is used.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, password (handled by our authentication provider; we do not store your password in the BookMyPhotog application database), and whether the account is a photographer or customer account.

Photographer profile information

Photographers may provide a display or business name, legal or full name, bio, city and state, travel preferences and travel radius, specialties, styles, starting price, availability notes, weekly availability, blocked dates, packages or services (including names, descriptions, pricing type, price, and duration), a public profile URL slug, a profile photo, and portfolio images. If a photographer publishes a profile, selected profile information is visible to visitors.

If a photographer enters a city and state, we may convert that place name into approximate geographic coordinates using publicly available U.S. Census Bureau location data so nearby search can work. We do not collect live GPS from your device for this.

Booking-request information

Booking requests (from signed-in customers or guests) may include name, email, optional phone number, requested date, selected package or service, message, estimated budget when the form asks for it, and related booking records such as status (for example pending, accepted, declined, or cancelled). Signed-in customers can view booking requests they submitted while signed in.

Photographer availability requests

If you ask to be notified when photographers become available for a search, we may collect your email address and the search criteria from that search, such as location, distance, date, specialty, style, and maximum price. We may use that information to contact you about photographers relevant to that search. This is not a newsletter signup or general marketing consent, and these email addresses are not published.

Notifications

We store in-app notifications about booking events and may send related transactional emails to the addresses involved in a request.

Technical and security information

We use session cookies and similar storage that our authentication and hosting stack need to keep you signed in and to operate the site securely. The BookMyPhotog application code does not include a separate marketing analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking pixel product. Hosting and database providers may process standard server or security logs as part of running their services. We do not claim specific analytics tools beyond that.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and authenticate accounts;
  • operate photographer profiles, search, and public listings;
  • transmit and display booking requests to the relevant photographer;
  • show customers their own linked booking history;
  • send transactional notifications and emails about requests;
  • maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug the Service;
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Sharing to facilitate bookings

When you submit a booking request, the photographer you selected can see the request details you provided (including name, email, optional phone, date, package, and message) so they can respond. Customers who are signed in can see their own requests. We also send transactional emails about those events to the relevant addresses.

BookMyPhotog does not currently process customer-to-photographer payments. Payment details you exchange off the platform are outside this policy except to the extent they appear in a message you typed into a booking request.

5. Public photographer profiles

Published photographer profiles, including portfolio images and listed packages, are visible to the public on the website. Unpublished profiles are not listed for public discovery. Profile photos and portfolio files are stored in public storage so the site can display them. Do not upload images you are not willing to have shown on a public profile.

6. Service providers

We use other companies to help run the Service. Based on how BookMyPhotog is built today, that includes:

  • Supabase — accounts, database, and file storage;
  • Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website;
  • Resend — sending transactional booking-related emails;
  • U.S. Census Bureau TIGERweb / location services — converting photographer-entered city and state into coordinates for distance search.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us. Their own privacy terms also apply to their processing.

7. Data security

We use access controls in the application (including account authentication and database permission rules) to limit who can read booking and account data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We do not claim a specific encryption product or certification in this policy.

8. Retention

We keep account, profile, and booking information while it is needed to operate the Service, including so photographers and customers can see request history and so we can address security, abuse, or legal issues. We do not publish a fixed deletion schedule in the product today. If you want information removed, contact us using the email below.

9. Your choices

You can sign out at any time. Photographers can update or unpublish profile information, remove portfolio images, and change packages and availability in their dashboard. Customers can view linked booking requests in their account. The beta product does not currently include a self-serve account-deletion button. To request correction or deletion of account information, contact support@bookmyphotog.com.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the date above. Continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
